ok here it is an update on everything thats been going on....

Rudy and I went to Detroit, and came home.

We had a BLAST! In fact we would even think about going back IF the flight wasn't so freakin long! We arrived on Saturday, and picked up the rental car (2005 Chevy Impala) and drove to the race track that both Mike and Sance work at. When we arrived at Hazel Park, we were met by Debbie (security guard and friend to Sance). Debbie gave me a hug and shook Rudy's hand and then invited us to this Christmas town and breakfast at Tony's on one of the only days that both Sance and Mike were off... ALL before I even get to see my Sisser. She was kinda a clingy woman, I am sure she is nice but she was trying so hard for us to like her, and she kept trying to plan out our vacation. So once Sance and Mike got off work we went to a karaoke bar and had a few drinks, and watched Mike sing a Beetles tune with a pal. We left a few hours later, when we got to their apartment, Sance showed us around. I love her couches. Her place is cute but i want her couches. She is also collecting lighthouses so I now have gift ideas.

On Sunday we got up and went to this pretty cool Mongolian BBQ restaurant that I guess is pretty trendy in MI, lunch was pretty good there. Then we just walked along downtown and looked at shops. No postcards or tourist trinkets to be found. They took us one of the malls and we went to Meijers, which is a grocery/Target store. Huge place. Rudy and I cooked dinner and Sance and Mike bought some drinks & board games to play. We had a really good time, and I was worried cos Rudy isn't really a board game player.

Monday... Happy Birthday Sance and Odie!!! We went to the Detroit Zoo. WOW this place puts our Sac zoo to shame. It was amazing, and big!! Sance and Mike both had to work that day so Rudy just took me out to a small dinner, at Fuddruckers, where the girl behind the counter said I looked like the girl from the movie Tomb Raider (Angelina Jolie). I told her thanks I am not her but some of my family has told me there is a resemblance (Maimee). But I guess she didn't believe me cos she asked me for an autograph and kept staring at me through dinner, as we were leaving she asked when my next movie was coming out and if she could come to the preview...

Tuesday... Went to Rainforest Cafe for dinner at this Huge Mall called Great Lake Crossings where they have a Bass Pro Shop. It was pretty cool cos we didn't know it was there, and Rudy buys a lot of his fishing equipment from the online store. So we ofcourse spent a lot of time just browsing.

Wednesday... Mike had to go and get fitted for a tux for work so we ended up going to another different mall for that then we went to the Henry Ford museum. they have the JFK car there(the one he got shot in), the Rosa Parks Bus, and the chair that Abe Lincoln was shot in. And that's just to start. This place was HUGE, we didn't even see it all... There was still the Greenfield Village and, Ford Rouge Factory Tour, which we didn't have time for. We had dinner together at this little home town pizza place with some really good bread, drove around downtown Detroit, and saw Canada from across the river, came home and played more board games.
Rudy woke in the middle of the night with a terrible toothache...

Thursday... The flight home, well since our plane didn't leave til 2pm we hung out with Sance some more and got all packed up ready to come home. Rudy's tooth was still hurting so we had to go buy some pain meds before the flight. As we are getting ready to go, I am putting on my shoes I start to cry. I hate leaving! We had such a good time and it was all ending... So we gave out our hugs and kisses and started for the airport. The flight home was uneventful, except Rudy is in sooo much pain! We landed ok and Rudy was able to get a prescription from his dentist and an appointment on Thursday of the following week.

At Home... Rudy is ok now, he wasn't able to see his dentist due to some insurance issues but we are handling that, and his pain doesn't seem to be as bad. Everything at work is going ok, Seth was transferred to a different store, and there seems to be a promotion in the works for him. Carol is about to go on vacation for 2 weeks, which leaves me in charge, thats kinda cool I guess. Been going to my girl scout meeting...Does anyone want to buy nuts? And hanging out with my big sisser, went out with Jane, Melm and there husbands last weekend, had a lot of fun! Jane and I also went to the Scrapebooking Expo downtown, that was great. Haven't spent the day like that with her in a long time. AND... That seems to be it. See all of you soon....
