I AM STILL HERE!!!
I know, I know, it has been weeks since my last post, well except my birthday wish to Nikki... Sorry I haven't been blogging. I could say I have been really busy and just haven't had time but that would be a HUGE lie!!! LOL I just haven't blogged because I am lazy! So what has been happening in my life lately? Lots! Other than Nikki turning 4, I did a 20 mile bike ride, which is amazing in itself cos I am normally winded by just going around the block, I spent some time with my family, and I went to the California State Fair. Now let's break it down... Nikki turned 4 and I couldn't see her because I had to work, I tried calling in the morning to say Happy Birthday but no answer, so I left a message. My sisser calls me later while I was at work to ask if I forgot about anything, like a hint , and I told her to check her messages cos I was busy, called later to try to talk to Nikki, and no answer AGAIN!!! So I didn't get to talk to her on her birthday. I called the next morning to talk to her and she says... "It's not my birthday anymore, Why does Auntie want to talk to me?" Isn't she sweet. So i finally got to wish her a Happy Birthday, and she told me everything she got for turning 4, it was a great conversation. 20 mile bike ride. This was a planned excursion, I knew it would be 20 miles, so it wasn't like I didn't know what I was doing. We rode along the American River Bike Trail from Howe Ave. To Discovery Park, and back. It was fun, no problems with my bike, and no crazy men with bloody hands & a knife trying to talk to Rudy, which is a whole other story. I think Rudy wished I went a little faster, we got passed by an old man on his bike with a little bell. Yeah he passed us TWICE!! My fault, I was just taking the ride back a little slower, so Rudy ditched me a few times, he didn't really leave me completely but, he was far enough ahead that in order to hear me I would've had to have screamed. I was irritated at first, but I got over it, mostly LOL :) California State Fair Rudy and I go to this every year, and do the same things. We check out the sellers. We look at the exhibits, I love the woodworking stuff and the house blue prints, see the displays (the 2 HP tractors from 1922 there every year) and see some of the shows. Well this year was the same, the tractors were there just moved around a bit, the vendors are still selling crap with a lifetime guarantee (so when the fair ends and the crap breaks where do you return it to?), the blueprints and tacked down so you can't see the whole house, and the shows were the same dancers doing the same routines that we saw in Six flags a few weeks ago. All in all, had a good time, if we didn't go, I would have been like "we didn't go to the fair this year, we always go" So maybe next year we won't go, but I doubt it. Well that is about it.

Relaxing Sunday
Well so much for staying home and watching Nascar. Missed Jeff Gordon winning his 5th race of the season and the points leader DNF'ing. See what happens when you plan to stay home... Rudy and I decided to go to Six Flags Marine World. It's about an hour away. The park opens at about 10 am, and we were on our way home by about 3. It's a great place, and if you have children, I would recommend it. Our problem was not the crowds/lines, it was the HEAT! The heat and the fact that the shows haven't changed in 3 years, and my baby gets really bad headaches from roller coasters. I love coasters, he thinks they are boring. I love them, I don't know why but I feel 12 again when they start up and you go up that first hill and you see the drop and the loops.... Well I just get excited! He made a great effort for me though. He took some aspirin when we got there, and this man HATES to take pills, but he took some. So we rode the Medusa and the Zonga. The Medusa is my favorite. They also have an Animal park there. With lions and tigers but no bears. We have elephants and giraffes though. We saw this beautiful Tiger just lazing around in his habitat, he was maybe 2 feet away behind a fence. He was gorgeous. I ofcouse forgot my camera. I had 3 Lorikeets land on me, no camera. We saw all the animals and watched the Dolphin show. Didn't see the killer whale show it was PACKED, so we left. Kermie handled the drive pretty well the AC is still on the frizz, but I am still driving!! In fact I drove Rudy to work today. He had to take Kody (his truck) in to be serviced. There was some kind of recall on the windshield wiper motor or something. He worked a half day ,I took him to pick up Kody and then went to Costco. We came home and made dinner together, and I took him home. It was a nice evening. Sisser is finally back online!!! I just talked to her, she should be blogging as I type!!! So gotta go check it out! Oh and check out the count down!!!!

So far so good
This week has been pretty easy, which I am happy to report. Everything seems to be going well. Just got in from work and Rudy is sending me the cutest lil pictures of doggies. He wants an American Boxer. He keeps sending photos and links, then says they are really expensive because they are Champion dogs and we have a while to go before we can get one. Doesn't he know that just gets me excited and makes me want one NOW!!!! Jeez! Well Sunday is right around the corner and I will be off ... Oh what to do what to do... Reno is having Hot August Nights this week with a classic car parade on Sunday. So we were thinking of going to Reno Saturday night getting a room and checking out the shows on Sunday. Well All the hotels/motels are either booked or $200 a night, normally $80, but because of this event prices sky rocket!! Keep in mind we only live a few hours away from Reno, but we wouldn't get there on Saturday until after 10 Pm, with check out time at 11 AM. So NO Reno Saturday! Still thinking about going on Sunday and spending the day, but it's a long drive and it is also the last day of the event so most people will be packing up and leaving. Plus its Nascar on Sunday!!! The Brickyard 400!!! So I am thinking to maybe stay home put something on the smoker, maybe have an early morning bike ride, watch a little Nascar!, basically have a nice relaxing day at home. The more I think about this, the more I like it. So I think it will be a nice relaxing Sunday at home. Still waiting for Sisser to get back online. I don't think she is even unpacked yet. Sisser hurry up!! See you all soon...

New Week = New Hope
Well last week at work was pretty tough. Not to go in to details but it pretty much SUCKED! This is a new week and hopefully it won't be so bad. All I can do is hope. The light at the end of the tunnel is that I am off Sunday. Gonna maybe try San Francisco again. Kermie has been running AWESOME!!! (knock on wood) AC is working and she gets me where I need to go. Have read 2 more books since my last update. Rudy bought me a new one a few days ago, by Nora Roberts. I think I have read it, but it's been years, and I don't own it, so it's not a lost cause. She also has a new books coming out in August and October. Looking forward to that. Enjoy her books. That's all for now. And Rosie thanks for always wishing me well! See you soon!
